Piz Morteratsch

On the first day we travel to Pontresina/ Morteratsch railway station. Via Val Morteratsch we climb to the Bovalhütte via the hut trail or, if desired, also via the glacier.
From the Boval hut we walk steeply uphill in headlamp light on the clearly visible hiking trail. After a short, steep but easy climb at grade II, we reach the Fuorcla da Boval. With the crampons we continue to the summit, from where we enjoy a breathtaking panorama. The Biancograt and the Piz Roseg are within reach. Nowhere does one have a better view of the "Himmelsieter - Biancograt" than from the summit of Morteratsch. The descent into Val Roseg is via the Tschierva hut, past Caroline and her team. Here we can fortify ourselves for the last time before returning to Pontresina through the Val Roseg, preferably by bike or by horse-drawn carriage.
